BAE Systems is seeking a Value Stream Supervisor (VSS) for our Maple Grove facility, specifically to support the Precision Guided Munitions (PGM) value stream. This role is pivotal as it involves direct management of touch labor and providing primary leadership to the production teams. This is a 1 st shift, days position on BAE's 9/80 schedule. The Value Stream Supervisor will act as the primary program point of contact for the assigned shift, ensuring effective leadership in the day-to-day execution of production activities. In this position, you will oversee the overall manufacturing process, working closely with manufacturing engineering, production planning, and quality control to ensure that production schedules are met. You will be responsible for planning and directing the activities of the manufacturing team, setting clear expectations and goals that emphasize safety, quality, schedule adherence, and delivery. Additionally, you will organize production processes and ensure the availability of necessary resources to facilitate smooth operations. A key aspect of your role will be to assess and apply various measures, methods, and techniques aimed at improving safety, product quality, efficiency, productivity, and overall equipment and process performance. You will work proactively with the management team to align site efforts and project initiatives with business needs and strategic direction, fostering a Lean culture that prioritizes safety and continuous quality improvement. Furthermore, you will monitor the financial performance of your department to ensure that targets are being met, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * 3+ years management experience. * Experience with electronic assembly processes in an ESD and FOD controlled environment * Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with management and employees at all levels, customers, and suppliers. * Demonstrated ability to perform detailed data analysis, identify areas for improvement, and drive focused actions to initiate change. * Demonstrated ability to work and lead collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment with salaried and hourly personnel to meet the needs of the business. * Ability to lead teams and drive Lean/continuous improvement culture. * Ability to understand, prioritize, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems. * Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast-paced environment. * Experience hosting audits in manufacturing environment, root cause and corrective action methods and project management for implementing new methodologies to resolve systemic issues. * Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. * Must be able to interpret drawings, work instructions, routings, etc. * Must be a US Person and able to obtain security clearance Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Experience with munitions assembly and ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) Testing. * Bachelor's Degree. * 4+ years minimum management experience. * 5+ years manufacturing environment. * Experience with 6s, Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen concepts. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $82779 - $140723 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
