The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing and/or overseeing preventive maintenance.

work orders, and unscheduled emergency repairs, and project work associated with the operation of
a production and warehouse facility.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate daily activities
  • Ability to maximize productivity and minimize waste
  • Willingness to work in a safe manner and promote a safe working environment
  • Perform all needed maintenance functions in support of Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM)
  • initiative and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs.
  • Perform emergency repairs as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance task as scheduled
  • Participate in continuous improvement process
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of maintenance and product support areas

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

  • Computer skills (basic computer knowledge)
  • Working knowledge of PLC controls (helpful, but not required)
  • Knowledge of electrical systems including 110-480V systems, AC & DC control systems,
    installing, troubleshooting and repair
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, plumbing, and pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of refrigeration systems, with ammonia (preferred by not required)Welding-TIG, MIG, Stick,
  • etc. Stainless / Sanitary equipment experience (helpful but not
    required)
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Forklift and pallet-jack certification (helpful, but not required)
  • Knowledge of plant mechanical processes sufficient to analyze performance trends and
    recommend and initiate corrective actions to improve process performance.

Physical Demands of the Position:

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. above the waist 10 times per day
  • Significant bending and stooping
  • Exposure to heights (may be elevated 40ft. on lift equipment)
  • Willingness to work extended or any scheduled work hours
