Industrial Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with strong shop floor experience in automotive or off-highway manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will drive process optimization, productivity improvement, lean manufacturing initiatives, time studies, line balancing, and continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed Time Studies and Line Balancing activities, including elemental breakdown, video time studies, VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, and Muri analysis.
  • Analyze assembly lines and manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Develop Current State and Future State Value Stream Maps (VSM) to identify bottlenecks, waste, capacity constraints, and process inefficiencies.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement and Kaizen initiatives to improve productivity, quality, throughput, and operational performance.
  • Perform root cause analysis for quality issues, defects, downtime, and production losses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop process improvement roadmaps with Level 1, 2, and 3 recommendations for long-term operational excellence.
  • Create and update Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and video-based work instructions to standardize manufacturing processes.
  • Support fixture design, ergonomic improvements, and manufacturing process enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement sustainable process improvements.
