Job Summary
The UX Strategist Consultant will serve as a Human-Centered Design (HCD) Experience Architect, combining strategic UX vision with hands-on research and delivery. The role will help shape digital experience strategies, roadmaps, research initiatives, and stakeholder alignment while supporting usability testing, design reviews, and research synthesis. This position will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, designers, and software development teams to align user needs, business objectives, and technical considerations.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct ongoing user research to inform experience priorities and product direction.
• Develop and evolve personas, journey maps, and experience frameworks to support decision-making.
• Support experience roadmaps by connecting user insights, business value, and delivery considerations.
• Partner with stakeholders to establish and align on experience vision, goals, and success measures.
• Lead and support UX strategy initiatives across digital products and experiences.
• Plan and facilitate usability testing, design reviews, feedback sessions, and other research activities.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Identify user experience challenges, analyze root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
• Contribute to discovery and research activities supporting both near-term delivery and longer-term planning.
• Translate research insights into artifacts, recommendations, and guidance that can be effectively used by delivery teams.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, constraints, priorities, and success measures.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure experience intent is maintained throughout implementation.
• Facilitate collaboration between business, design, and development teams to improve alignment and reduce delivery friction.
• Present UX findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
• Utilize Figma to support collaborative design activities and design reviews.
• Work within Agile and sprint-based delivery environments using Jira or similar tools.
• Explore and evaluate AI-enabled research, design, and synthesis tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Apply Human-Centered Design principles and sound judgment when evaluating emerging AI-enabled user experiences.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in UX, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Strategy, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong Human-Centered Design expertise.
• 5+ years of UX design or related user experience expertise.
• Strong experience leading UX strategy initiatives.
• Strong UX research experience, including qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Solid understanding of Human-Centered Design principles, research methodologies, and experience synthesis.
• Experience developing personas, journey maps, experience frameworks, and UX recommendations.
• Experience supporting both strategic initiatives and hands-on UX delivery activities.
• Experience conducting usability testing, design reviews, and research synthesis.
• Strong stakeholder management experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience collaborating with business, design, product, and software development teams.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and delivery-oriented environments.
• Working proficiency with Figma for collaborative design and design reviews.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar tools and Agile/sprint-based delivery environments.
• Ability to work independently within a defined problem space.
Preferred Qualifications
• Working knowledge of AI-powered tools used for UX design, research, or synthesis.
• Experience evaluating or supporting AI-enabled digital experiences.
• Experience supporting UX roadmaps and longer-term digital experience strategies.
