A UX Research contract is a temporary agreement where a UX (User Experience) researcher is hired to conduct studies and gather insights about users’ behaviors, needs, and motivations. These contracts can last from a few weeks to several months, depending on the project. UX researchers use methods such as interviews, usability testing, and surveys to inform design decisions and improve products. Contract roles are common in tech, design agencies, and startups that need specialized research for specific projects.

Familiarity with tools like UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, and survey platforms, as well as experience with usability testing software, is typically required. Outstanding communication, adaptability, and stakeholder management skills help you present findings clearly and collaborate with diverse teams.
