Interventional Radiologist

The University of Virginia (UVA) Community Health Radiology Department is seeking a BC/BE Fellowship trained Interventional Radiologist to join our dynamic Interventional Radiology (IR) team in the growing Northern Virginia area. Successful candidate will make a significant impact on our expanding program in our diagnostic imaging and image-guided procedural services.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a very active and progressive IR practice
  • Perform a wide range of IR procedures
  • Ability to maintain diagnostic radiology skills
  • Participate in the IR on-call schedule (one week a month)
  • Cover Prince William Medical Center, Haymarket Medical Center, and Culpeper Medical Center
  • Handle inpatient interventional procedures requested by the ED and inpatient teams
  • 8-10 clinic patient visits per day when scheduled in the outpatient IR clinic with an opportunity to grow your patient panel
  • Average Image-guided procedural volumes in the hospital is 8-12 patients per day

Onsite Equipment and Services:

  • State-of-the-art Siemens angio systems
  • 64-slice CT scanners
  • Integrated EPIC EMR and Carestream PACS at the 3 hospitals and with UVA
  • Hi-IQ for IR quality metrics, inventory control, and scheduling
  • Vein ablation technology in the outpatient clinic
