At Direct Edge Media, we create high-impact visual display solutions for enterprise brands, agencies, and trade print partners across the country. With operations in Anaheim, Denver, and Dallas, we are continuing to grow and invest in our people, technology, and production capabilities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Large Format Print Operator to join our production team in Anaheim, CA. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes pride in quality workmanship, and has hands-on experience operating large format digital printing equipment.


Position Summary

The Large Format Print Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of large format printing equipment to ensure production is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality standards.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret job tickets and production specifications
  • Set up and operate large format roll-to-roll and flatbed printing equipment
  • Monitor print quality, color consistency, and production output
  • Perform quality checks throughout the production process
  • Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain production standards
  • Troubleshoot print and equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Prioritize workflow and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine maintenance
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for inks, media, and supplies
  • Work collaboratively with production, finishing, and scheduling teams
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform overtime and weekend work as needed to support production demands

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of large format digital printing experience required
  • Experience operating roll-to-roll and/or flatbed printers
  • EFI/VUTEk, UV, Latex, and Dye Sublimation experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of RIP software such as Caldera or ColorGATE preferred
  • Familiarity with laminators and digital cutting equipment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
