Position Overview

Altitude Color Technologies is seeking an experienced EFI Q5r Operator to join our large and grand format digital print production team. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining EFIโ€™s 5-meter roll-to-roll UV printer while producing high-quality graphics in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in wide-format digital printing, understands production workflow and color consistency, and can efficiently manage large-scale print jobs with minimal supervision. This role requires attention to detail, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to maintain production quality under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Operate EFI Q5r 5-meter UV roll-to-roll printer efficiently and safely

Produce high-quality output for:

Event graphics

Trade show graphics

Vinyl banners

Mesh graphics

Fabric graphics

Backlit displays

Retail graphics

Large-format branding projects

Load and unload media rolls properly

Monitor print quality, registration, and color consistency throughout production

Perform daily machine maintenance and cleaning procedures

Troubleshoot print defects, media handling issues, and production interruptions

Manage print queues and workflow through RIP software

Work closely with prepress, finishing, sewing, routing, and installation departments

Ensure jobs are completed accurately and on schedule

Maintain organized work areas and material inventory awareness

Follow production SOPs and quality control standards

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years experience operating large-format digital printers

Experience operating EFI printers preferred

Strong understanding of:

UV printing technology

Large-format production workflows

Media handling and print quality standards

Color consistency and calibrationExperience with RIP software such as:

Caldera

EFI Fiery

Onyx

Ability to troubleshoot production and machine issues independently

Strong attention to detail and quality control

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

Ability to lift and move large media rolls
