Job Title: State Certified Electrician - Solar

Job Description

This role involves working as a state certified electrician on utility-scale solar projects, focusing on the safe and efficient installation of solar panels and related electrical systems across large construction sites.

Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, and connect utility-scale solar panels and associated electrical components in accordance with state codes and project specifications.
  • Lay out, bend, and install electrical conduit for solar installations on large construction sites.
  • Perform electrical wiring, terminations, and panel connections to ensure safe and reliable system operation.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues within solar systems and resolve faults to maintain system performance and safety.
  • Assist with construction supervision related to electrical scope, helping coordinate tasks and ensuring work follows plans and standards.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications to complete installations accurately and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations while working outdoors in varying weather conditions on active jobsites.
  • Collaborate with other construction and electrical team members to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards.

Essential Skills

  • Current State of California General Electrician certification.
  • Experience working with solar electrical systems, particularly on utility-scale or large solar projects.
  • Proficiency in electrical construction, including installation of conduit and wiring.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues in solar installations.
  • Experience working on active construction sites with adherence to safety practices.
  • Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions across multiple jobsites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience supervising or assisting with supervision of electrical work on construction projects.
  • Familiarity with utility-scale solar installation methods and best practices.
