Job description

Job Responsibilities
Our DC Power Technicians are responsible for performing field activities at telecommunication central offices, electric utility substations, and data centers. This position reports to the Operations Manager and will be assigned to work on projects for varying lengths of time in different states.

  • Perform and lead battery and DC power plant installations and hot cut overs with limited supervision
  • Perform battery testing, preventative maintenance, battery and equipment installations with limited supervision
  • Perform site surveys as well as quality control of other technician's activities
  • Test and verify alarms
  • Develop MOPs (Methods of Procedure)
  • Build and enhance customer relationships
  • Provide field updates to Operations Manager as requested

Qualifications

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds, climb stairs/ladder
  • 2+ years of related technical training/experience
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the US for extended periods of time
  • Willing to work day, night, emergency call out, weekends, or holidays as requested
