**Position Overview: Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP Only)**
- **Coverage Duration:** Immediate start (November) for 5 months with a possibility of extension
- **Practice Setting:** Outpatient clinic
- **Operational Hours:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- **Core Responsibilities:** Providing comprehensive family medicine services to patients across all age groups, with proficiency in pediatric and adult care.
Responsibilities include health maintenance, physical assessments, and managing both acute and chronic conditions within a primary care framework. Typical encounters involve initial evaluations, setup and monitoring of medical equipment, ordering/administering diagnostic tests, and documenting all aspects of patient care. Common clinical presentations include minor illnesses such as respiratory infections (cold, flu), urinary tract infections (UTI), sexually transmitted diseases (STD), dermatological issues (rashes), arthritic flare-ups, and women's health concerns. Competencies in incision and drainage (I&D), suturing, and toenail avulsion would be advantageous, although not mandatory. Documentation and management of the in-basket are expected.
