Full-Time • Monday–Friday Schedule • UT Medical Campus, Knoxville, TN

UT Internal Medicine is seeking enthusiastic and qualified applicants for a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or CCMA) to join our patient-centered primary care team. This is a great opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while working in a supportive, collaborative clinic located within the UT Medical Center Campus in Knoxville, TN.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our providers to ensure a seamless, compassionate patient experience. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Assisting providers with patient care
  • Rooming patients and obtaining vitals
  • Performing point-of-care testing
  • Assisting with minor procedures
  • Coordinating scheduling and prior authorizations
  • Obtaining pre-certifications for MRIs and CTs
  • Communicating test results
  • Building strong, professional relationships with physicians, teammates, patients, and families
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Medical Assisting Certification preferred
  • Prior clinical experience
  • 6 months prior medical office experience
