Job description

This job opportunity is for an MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR, position description D0843000, within the 177th LRS of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position.
Its purpose is to operate and perform operator maintenance on one or more motor vehicles to transport personnel, supplies, materials or equipment.

Qualifications:General Experience:
Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position.
Specialized Experience:
Must have at least 12 months of specialized experience or training which demonstrates the following:
  • Ability to operate one or more motor vehicles
  • Operate platform, van, stake, and dump trucks
  • Refueling vehicles passenger buses or ambulance buses
  • Operate all wheeled vehicles and tractors which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 11,700 kilograms (26,000 pounds) and up to 14,400 kilograms (less than 32,000 pounds)
