Job description

High Lift Operator

The High Lift Operator is responsible for operating high lift equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials within a warehouse or manufacturing facility. This role ensures the safe and efficient handling of materials, contributing to streamlined operations and effective inventory management.

  • Complete a daily inspection report of the high lifter at the start of each shift. Report any deficiencies that would not allow safe use of the equipment immediately to the dock supervisor.
  • High lifter drivers will assist forklift drivers in weekly cycle counts of the product in the cooler.
  • High lift drivers will help forklift drivers in the daily rotation of the product in the cooler.
  • Rack and locate palletized products coming from production with the use of a scan gun.
  • Pull pallets of product from the racks for order pickers and relocate partial pallets back in the racks.
  • Communicate any racking damage, pallet problems, or leaking box issues to their immediate supervisor.
  • Communicate any missing product and or damaged product to their immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be able to work in a humid, cold, wet or slippery surface at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (P.P.E)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment
  • Previous knife experience in manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Be attentive to detail
  • Ability to work safely, wear P.P.E, and follow instructions
  • Ability to attend work consistently
  • Display strong work ethic

America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.
