The Building People, LLC seeks a Mail Room Clerk to perform services necessary to support Mail Room Operations at government facilities in a manner that produces efficient, secure storage and delivery of mail. The Mail Room Clerk handles receipt and dispatch of mail, manages directory and locator operations, sorts incoming and outgoing official mail, and complies with all applicable U.S. Postal Service (USPS) and Federal Government standards and procedures.

This position requires physical ability to lift heavy packages and maintain a professional, detail-oriented work ethic in a secure federal environment. Skills & Requirements Required Experience & Skills * Knowledge of organization procedures sufficient to maintain locator files, directories, and similar support materials * Knowledge of USPS and Federal requirements related to processing and dispatching all types of outgoing mail, packages, and materials * Ability to receive, sort, and dispatch mail by category, including form type, special action, kind of issuance, originator, location, subject matter, or type of correspondence * Ability to maintain an automated database that includes records of each customer served * Knowledge of procedural instructions and postal regulations * Ability to comply with procedures for issuance, maintenance, and withdrawal of mail receptacles * Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds * Possession of a valid state and government driver's license * All personnel must obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Level 3) security clearance. Preferred Experience & Skills * Prior experience in a federal government mail room or secure mail handling environment * Familiarity with Federal law enforcement agency mail handling procedures * Experience redirecting and forwarding mail in accordance with USPS, DOJ, and agency standards Required Education * High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) Preferred Education * Associate's degree or relevant post-secondary coursework in business administration, logistics, or a related field Qualifications *Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.
