Job description

Job Title- UX Designer 4
Location- Beaverton, OR
Reporting Type- Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day WFH)
Contract Duration: 24 Months
Note: We are looking for Mobile App creation experience. Candidates must be Digital Hardware Product Designer (Fitbit, peloton, Apple watch, Alexa, Google Nest, Ring)
Ideal experience with Mobile App creation with wearables for workout/sports (ex. Fitbit, peloton, Apple watch) however, experience with hardware/app creation with products like Alexa, Google Nest, Ring, etc.
What You Will Work On
  • Design user interfaces and interactions for mobile apps (iOS and Android) and connected hardware experiences
  • Translate research insights and product requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs
  • Collaborate with engineers, QA, and product managers to ensure feasibility and quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Partner with UX Research to iterate designs based on user feedback and testing
  • Maintain and evolve design systems and documentation for cohesive, inclusive experiences across all touchpoints
  • Champion accessibility and usability design principles
  • Support operational planning and delivery of long-term initiatives for APV
  • Present design strategy and rationale to senior leadership and cross-functional teams

Who You Will Work With
You'll collaborate with Client's Advanced Product Ventures team, including product managers, engineers (hardware, firmware, software), QA, and UX researchers. You'll be a key member of the Experience Squad, driving the vision and execution of digital experiences for athletes*.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience designing mobile apps, ideally for hardware products
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end design for consumer-facing digital products
  • Expertise in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping platforms
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and QA teams in Agile environments
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile app design, hardware-connected experiences, and design system work
  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive clarity through organized, actionable design steps
  • Comfortable presenting and facilitating discussions with senior leadership
