As Senior Project Manager, you'll be one of the leaders responsible for bringing these values to life every single day.
What You'll Do
As Senior Project Manager, you'll serve as the operational leader for multiple Project Managers and complex civil construction projects while helping build the next generation of Alpha leaders.
Develop Exceptional Project Managers
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Project Managers through ongoing feedback, accountability, and career development.
Conduct performance reviews, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), coaching sessions, and succession planning.
Build leadership capability while creating a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
Support onboarding, mentoring, training, and calibration to ensure consistency across the entire Project Management team.
Lead Operational Excellence
Provide executive-level oversight for multiple complex civil construction projects.
Support Project Managers in resolving project challenges before they become project failures.
Drive consistency in scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, procurement, contract administration, and project execution.
Monitor financial performance, staffing, workloads, schedules, profitability, and operational KPIs.
Ensure projects consistently meet Alpha's standards for safety, quality, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
Build Better Systems
Create, improve, and standardize project management systems that scale with company growth.
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements that increase consistency, productivity, profitability, and communication.
Partner with leadership to continuously improve workflows across the Civil Division.
Strengthen Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Operations, Estimating, Safety, Human Resources, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
Bridge communication between field operations and office leadership.
Help align people, priorities, and processes across every phase of project execution.
Drive Strategic Growth
Support resource planning, workload balancing, organizational planning, and long-term operational initiatives.
Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Represent Alpha professionally while helping expand long-term client relationships.
What You Bring
You're more than an experienced Project Manager.
You're a leader who builds other leaders.
Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Minimum 5 years of progressive project management leadership experience
• Experience supervising Project Managers while overseeing multiple complex civil construction projects
• Proven success developing high-performing project teams
• Experience implementing standardized systems and operational improvements
• Strong understanding of civil construction operations, contracts, procurement, scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management

Requirements (Conditions of Employment)
