The User Compliance team sits at the critical intersection of Risk, Onboarding, and the diverse product teams at Stripe. Our mission is to orchestrate the collection and verification of customer data, enabling us to manage financial, regulatory, and reputational risks across all Stripe offerings. What you'll do
Responsibilities
  • Work with Stripe leaders across the company to create and drive toward the vision of a simple and consistent Risk and Compliance experience
  • Work with Product Managers to shape the product roadmap and enable the experiences that help solve user problems and keep them compliant
  • Drive the roadmap and priorities for your team, and work with cross-functional dependencies across the company to meet the deliverables
  • Own the technical roadmap for the team and support the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and stability
  • Hire and develop the best engineers on your team
  • Be a sponsor-coach for the team to learn and grow
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of the Stripe engineering management team

Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience with a minimum of 10 years of experience with software development
  • 8-10 years of overall experience with 3+ years of experience in a leadership role with people management responsibilities
  • Experience building diverse teams to tackle challenging technical problems
  • Experience thriving in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
