Our Core Values

Create Customers for Life Take Purposeful Action Embrace Sudden Change Collaborative Effort Never Settle Be You

We listen to customers first, make decisive actions that support our mission, innovate without fear, amplify each other's strengths, continuously optimize everything, and value authenticity above all.

The Role

Own and optimize our Shopify-powered e-commerce platform that drives our $17M direct-to-consumer business. You'll be responsible for the complete digital storefront experience-from site performance and UX to merchandising and conversion optimization. Lead one direct report while partnering closely with Marketing, IT, and Operations to create a seamless customer experience that educates and converts.

Your Mission: Maximize revenue per visitor, improve site conversion rates, and create an e-commerce experience that reflects our education-first values while scaling efficiently.

Year One Goals: Improve site conversion rate by 15-20%, increase average order value by 10%+, reduce cart abandonment by 20%, lead 3+ major site enhancements, and establish data-driven merchandising practices.

What You'll Do

Platform Management: Own our Shopify platform including all technical aspects, app integrations, theme customization, and site performance. Ensure 99.9%+ uptime, fast page speeds, and flawless functionality across all devices. Manage relationships with developers and technical vendors.

Conversion Rate Optimization: Continuously test and optimize every step of the customer journey-homepage, collection pages, product pages, cart, and checkout. Run A/B tests, analyze user behavior, identify friction points, and implement improvements that drive measurable lift in conversion rates.

User Experience & Design: Partner with design team to create intuitive, educational, and conversion-focused experiences. Ensure site navigation, search functionality, filtering, and product discovery align with customer needs and our brand values. Champion mobile-first experiences.

Product Merchandising: Strategically organize and present our product catalog to maximize discoverability and sales. Create compelling product pages with educational content, reviews, and cross-sells. Implement dynamic merchandising rules based on inventory, seasonality, and performance data.

Site Content & SEO: Collaborate with Marketing on site content, landing pages, and educational resources. Ensure technical SEO best practices (site speed, structured data, crawlability). Optimize product content for both search engines and customer education.

Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on key e-commerce metrics including conversion rate, AOV, revenue per session, cart abandonment, bounce rate, and site search performance. Use Google Analytics, Shopify analytics, and heat mapping tools to drive insights and action.

Promotions & Campaigns: Execute promotional campaigns including sales, bundle offers, and subscription programs. Build discount codes, manage promotional banners, coordinate with Marketing on campaign launches, and measure promotional effectiveness.

Team Leadership: Manage one direct report (E-commerce Coordinator/Specialist), providing mentorship, goal-setting, and development. Delegate tactical execution while maintaining quality standards and strategic direction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing on campaigns, IT on technical infrastructure, Operations on inventory visibility, and Customer Service on site-related issues. Be the bridge between business needs and technical execution.

Innovation & Testing: Stay current on e-commerce trends, Shopify updates, and emerging technologies. Test new apps, features, and strategies that could improve performance. Embrace AI tools for personalization, product recommendations, and content optimization.
