Job description

Actively design and develop ETL solutions that transform data for decision-making with Microsoft SSIS. Use expertise in SSIS to create packages that handle complex business workflows and are capable of understanding the existing packages independently. Experience with Version Control tools. Troubleshoot problems including system failure, SSIS failure, SQL stored procedures, and use SSIS best practices. Provide off-hours/weekend on-call rotation with the ETL Team. Monitor performance, index optimization, and process optimization. Continually survey the current system environment and make recommendations on future system needs.

Essential Duties:

  • Design and develop SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to be used during the ETL process.
  • Design and develop SSIS / SQL ETL solutions that consume data from numerous upstream systems for data transformation and processing.
  • Design, implement, and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes) and database security.
  • Proficient with ETL tools,expert in industry standard best practices on Microsoft SSIS and SSMS (2016 or higher)
  • Analyze and develop strategies to import and transfer data between source, staging, and Development/Production Warehouse destinations.
  • Troubleshoot and correct ETL warnings and errors and resolve critical issues promptly.
  • Provides analytical and technical expertise on performance tuning, index optimization, and query optimization.
  • Stays informed of new developments and technologies by reading journals and other pertinent publications, maintaining contact with vendors, and participating in professional organizations, meetings, and seminars.
  • Work closely with MED IT to assist in patch update reboot, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • Req Bachelor's Degree Degree in a related field
  • Req 3 years SQL and Microsoft SSIS Development, ETL process, Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or above, and related fields
  • Req Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior.
  • Req Organization/time management skills.
  • Req Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning and evaluation skills.
  • Req Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Req Able to function independently and as a member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pref Experience with electronic health record data in a complex healthcare environment
  • Pref Understanding of or exposure to healthcare (clinical/financial) operations.
  • Pref Prior experience with mandated external reporting requirements for healthcare facilities.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
The annual base salary range for this position is $95,680.00 - $158,230.00.
