Job Summary and Qualifications

This senior-level role on the Clinical Data and Interoperability team within Digital Transformation and Innovation focuses on improving data usability to support the MEDITECH Expanse platform implementation. The position ensures high-quality, normalized, and usable data is consistently available to clinicians, data scientists, administrators, and report writers. It bridges technical and clinical gaps by interpreting workflows, aligning data with standards, and supporting terminology normalization.

The Expanse Data Usability Analyst partners with business and product owners, subject matter experts in clinical domains, and technical teams to define requirements, develop data models, and participate in terminology normalization. Success requires strong communication, collaboration, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams to continuously improve data quality and usability.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides expertise in Expanse clinical workflows and data structures
  • Provides clinical data usability expertise to business partners developing data products and use case–specific solutions
  • Partners with leaders, business owners, analysts, project managers and technical solution providers across the company to define and satisfy their data usability needs
  • Applies healthcare coding knowledge to normalize terminology by creating and maintaining code maps
  • Supports product, field and leadership teams with testing and validation of data products and use-case specific solutions

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare-related field required
  • 7+ years of experience in hospital setting, ideally clinical, Health Information Management, or billing preferred
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in clinical coding preferred
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in data and workflow analysis preferred
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in EHR maintenance, build or implementation (MEDITECH, EPIC, Cerner preferred
