Job description

Position Summary...The Senior Manager, Finance – US Transportation drives financial planning, forecasting, and performance optimization across the transportation network. This role leads analysis of key cost drivers such as freight, fuel, routing, and carrier performance to support data-driven decisions. The Senior Manager communicates financial performance to senior leadership, leads cost and efficiency initiatives, and ensures strong financial controls. The role also develops a high-performing team and promotes a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
About the Team:
The US Transportation Finance team partners with Logistics, Fleet, and Supply Chain to manage transportation spend and optimize network performance. We analyze key drivers such as freight cost, fuel expense, routing efficiency, and carrier utilization to deliver actionable insights. The team owns forecasting, reporting, and financial controls for transportation operations, while influencing decisions on network design, carrier strategy, and capacity planning. Through advanced analytics and cross-functional collaboration, we help ensure efficient, cost-effective movement of goods aligned with company goals.What you'll do...
  • Lead financial planning and forecasting processes for transportation spend, including freight, fuel, and accessorial costs.  
  • Build and analyze complex models to evaluate routing strategies, network optimization, carrier selection, and cost-to-serve.  

  • Partner with Transportation and Supply Chain teams to monitor KPIs such as cost per mile, cost per load, on-time delivery, and load utilization.  
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies across the transportation network, balancing service and cost trade-offs.  
  • Establish and manage financial controls to ensure accuracy in transportation spend, accruals, and compliance with policies.  
  • Communicate financial performance, forecasts, and key drivers to senior leadership with clear, actionable insights.  
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives such as network redesigns, carrier negotiations, and capacity planning efforts.  

What You’ll Bring: 
  • Deep experience in financial planning and analysis within transportation, logistics, supply chain, or a similarly complex operational environment.  
  • Proven ability to build financial models that evaluate routing, capacity, and cost-to-serve trade-offs.  
  • Experience partnering with operations teams to influence decisions and drive cost efficiencies while maintaining service levels.  
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex transportation and financial data into clear business insights.  
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (SQL, Excel, Tableau/Power BI) and large-scale data environments.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead large initiatives, and drive results in a dynamic, high-volume logistics network.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
