Job description

East Portland Surgery Center is looking for a Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator to join the team! 

East Portland Surgery Center is one of Portland’s leading multi-specialty surgery centers, performing cases in pain management, GI, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, gynecology, ENT & Spine. Our facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). 

What You Will Do   (Job Summary): The Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator is responsible for all patient care in the procedure room and working with the physician to deliver a successful procedure and outcome for the patient.  Duties include - managing procedure room(s) to ensure the rooms are prepped and ready for patients, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, cleaning, safely monitors and documents care of patients in accordance with policy and procedure and guidelines of care; supports and assists the physicians with care of the patient throughout the procedure.

Monday-Friday daytime work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Required Skills
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional Nursing 
  • Current Oregon License as a Registered Nurse
  • Current BLS ,ACLS, and PALS accredited by AHA required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire 
  • 2+ years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
  • Experience in basic and advanced procedures and IV sedation experience preferred
  • Experience with medical outpatient procedures desired
  • Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees
  • Knowledgeable of hospital/ASC policies and procedures specific to the procedure room
  • Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions with Patients, Physicians & fellow Team members
  • Efficient use of resources
  • Willingness to maintain a clean, organized environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
