McIver Clinic has been a trusted leader in urological care in Jacksonville since 1921. With multiple locations throughout the greater Jacksonville area and more than 27 providers, we deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of urology, from minimally invasive procedures to complex surgery and oncology.


We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our full-time outpatient clinical team. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions
  • Triage patient calls, assess clinical concerns, and provide appropriate guidance or follow-up.
  • Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Collaborate with physicians and the clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, document the reason for the visit, and prepare patients for examination.
  • Assist physicians with daily clinical care and in-office procedures, maintaining sterile technique when preparing surgical trays.
  • Perform clinical duties including blood draws, Foley and suprapubic catheter insertion/removal, and removal of drains, staples, and sutures, within scope of practice.
  • Review and update patient medical, surgical, family, and social histories, medications, and other clinical documentation.
  • Process prescription refills and communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, referring providers, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Educate patients on treatments, procedures, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure appropriate patient follow-up appointments are scheduled.
  • Review charts for accuracy and completion at the end of each clinic day.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and universal precautions while maintaining required licensure and continuing education.
  • Provide cross-coverage for nursing staff and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
  • Strong clinical assessment and triage abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Education & Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program.
  • Current, active Florida RN license in good standing.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Previous clinical experience in a physician office or hospital setting required; urology experience preferred.

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
