Trustpoint.One is partnering with a dynamic and growing New York City boutique law firm in their search for a Civil Rights Litigation Attorney to join their team. The firm prides itself on delivering practical, strategic legal solutions with a client-first approach. This an exciting opportunity to make a difference while working with a group of attorneys who are passionate about what they do.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Rights Litigation Attorney with 8 years of experience who is available to work in New York City. The ideal candidate will have complex civil rights experience and be comfortable handling a range of responsibilities, from performing legal research and developing case strategy to drafting briefs and motions and appearing in federal court. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Represent individuals and groups in complex civil rights litigation before federal courts
  • Draft clear, compelling briefs, motions, and memoranda in support of civil rights cases
  • Communicate directly with clients, providing counsel and updates

Qualifications:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in New York
  • At least 8 years of litigation experience focused on civil rights law or constitutional law
  • Exceptional legal writing skills and the ability to be first chair at hearings and trial
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations
