Position Summary

The Immunization Nurse will provide comprehensive vaccination services to patients of all eligible age groups while ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care. The RN will educate patients, administer vaccines, monitor for adverse reactions, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with established healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer a variety of immunizations, including:
    • Influenza (Flu)
    • COVID-19
    • MMR
    • Hepatitis A & B
    • Tdap
    • Shingles (Zoster)
    • Pneumococcal
    • HPV
    • RSV
    • Other recommended vaccines
  • Perform patient assessments prior to vaccine administration.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
  • Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and clinical protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and support staff.
  • Deliver outstanding patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism.
  • Adapt to changing clinic schedules and operational needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization and direct patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability and willingness to administer vaccinations.
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
