Position Overview:
 

CVS Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support its seasonal Vaccination Initiative. The RN will administer a variety of immunizations in a retail healthcare environment while delivering safe, patient-centered care and education.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer vaccines including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, Shingles, Tdap, Hepatitis, Pneumonia, and other CDC-recommended immunizations.
  • Review patient medical history and assess eligibility prior to vaccination.
  • Educate patients regarding vaccine indications, side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions following immunization.
  • Accurately document vaccinations and patient records in accordance with company and state guidelines.
  • Maintain proper vaccine storage, handling, and inventory management.
  • Follow infection prevention, PPE, and patient safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced retail environment. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience, including immunization experience.
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong medication administration and patient assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Must not appear on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Verifiable High School Diploma/GED and nursing education credentials. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail clinics, occupational health, ambulatory care, urgent care, or community health.
  • High-volume immunization clinic experience.
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR).
  • Comfortable vaccinating pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
