Lightbox Counseling and Psychotherapy Association is urgently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our clinical team. In this full-time remote role based in La Palma, California, you will deliver therapy to individuals, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. You will have the freedom to manage your own caseload while receiving support from a collaborative team of mental health professionals.

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand clients' backgrounds and needs, followed by formulating accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific challenges and goals of each client.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families, utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and systemic therapy approaches.
• Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation in compliance with California laws and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in weekly case consultations, actively participating in peer support and supervision, and offering insights for complex cases.
• Stay informed of best practices in mental health through continued education and training opportunities.

You will work with a diverse client base that includes individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of mental health issues. This may range from anxiety, depression, trauma, relational conflicts, and more. Your role will include educating clients on the impact of familial and societal dynamics on mental health, helping them navigate these complexities while promoting their emotional well-being and relational satisfaction.

• A valid and active LMFT license in California (in good standing).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• A robust understanding of systems theory, trauma-informed care, and dynamics of relationships.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on building rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Strong written communication skills for effective documentation and report preparation.

• At least two years of direct therapeutic experience, particularly within community mental health contexts.
• Experience working with high-acuity clients or in school-based settings.
• A familiarity with working with diverse populations and an understanding of how cultural factors influence mental health.
