Mustang Cat is urgently hiring skilled Marine Field Service Technicians/Mechanics to support our Marine Services division. This role plays a vital part in keeping vessels running smoothly across the Gulf Coast and inland waterways by providing expert diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Caterpillar marine engines and generators.

What You’ll Do as a Marine Field Service Technician:

As a Marine Field Service Mechanic, you’ll inspect, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar marine engines and generators aboard vessels and at port facilities. You’ll be trusted to perform field-based service with minimal supervision while ensuring safe and reliable equipment operation. Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose and repair marine diesel engines and generator systems
• Perform in-field engine overhauls and marine power unit service
• Troubleshoot electronic engine control systems
• Deliver service excellence directly onboard marine vessels
• Communicate professionally with vessel owners, captains, and customers
• Document service actions and support safety-first field operations

Requirements:

• Must own proper tools required for marine engine repair
• High school diploma or equivalent required
