Job description

Job Summary:
Suno is a leading consumer entertainment company focused on AI music, and they are seeking an Engineering Manager for their Trust & Safety team. This role involves leading a team to protect the platform from abuse and fraud while overseeing the development of detection systems and data pipelines.
Responsibilities:
• Manage, develop, and grow a team of Trust & Safety engineers — including hiring, performance management, career development, and fostering team culture
• Own the technical direction for bot detection, content moderation, anomaly detection, and fraud prevention systems
• Drive the design and evolution of data pipelines that power detection and enforcement at scale
• Oversee the development of internal tools and dashboards for Trust & Safety operations and investigations
• Partner with product, engineering, legal, and finance leaders to define Suno's Trust & Safety roadmap and coordinate cross-team execution
• Analyze emerging attack vectors and adapt detection strategies to stay ahead of adversarial behavior
• Ensure high code quality, robust testing, and scalable architecture while balancing rapid iteration with long-term maintainability
Qualifications:
Required:
• 4+ years managing an engineering team focused on Trust & Safety, fraud detection, content moderation, or a related domain
• Strong technical foundation in Python and SQL, with the ability to review code, guide architectural decisions, and jump into the codebase when needed
• Experience with data engineering pipelines (Dagster, Airflow, or similar) and analytical databases (Snowflake preferred)
• Understanding of anomaly detection techniques, anti-abuse strategies, bot detection, and content moderation systems
• Experience building and operating real-time systems and event-driven architectures
• Excel at both technical leadership and people management — you can ship complex systems and grow the careers of the engineers who build them
• Thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and can balance multiple priorities while maintaining team focus
• A love of music (listening, exploring, making)
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the US
• This role requires working onsite 5 days a week, per Suno’s company policy
• Willingness to travel (up to 10%) to collaborate with team members across Suno office locations
Preferred:
• Experience at a consumer tech or creator-platform company
• Experience at both larger and smaller, high-growth companies
• Experience scaling a Trust & Safety team from early stage to 10+ engineers
Company:
Suno is a music technology company that provides an AI platform for creating original songs from text prompts and other creative inputs. Founded in 2022, the company is headquartered in Cambridge, USA, with a team of 51-200 employees. The company is currently Growth Stage.
