Job description

The department of Urban Studies and Environmental Studies is hiring part-time lecturers for courses in sustainable urban policy and planning, the intersectionality of urban planning and social/environmental justice, urban systems and processes in the Global South, and geographical information systems (GIS).
Given the interdisciplinary nature of the department, teacher-scholars with the appropriate expertise in urban studies from a range of social science disciplines and interdisciplinary fields including geography, political science, public policy, planning, ethnic studies, and environmental studies are welcome to apply.
Other responsibilities include meeting with students one-on-one in office hours, assessing all student work, attending training and faculty development events, and submitting final grades to the Registrar's office.
A PhD is preferred, but candidates with a master's degree will be considered.
If interested, please submit a cover letter describing your teaching experience and indicating the courses you would be willing and able to teach, a CV, and names of references.
Minimum salary is $ 2,517 per unit taught.
