Job description

Join Sartorius as a Process Technology Engineer, supporting upstream and downstream bioprocess solutions across the full project lifecycle-from customer discovery through project execution. You will collaborate with Sales, customers, and global engineering teams to deliver optimized process and equipment solutions
The primary responsibility for this role is to support discovery meetings and technical review of customer requirements to define the optimal equipment or process solution as well as to perform engineering tasks associated with basic engineering phase of assigned projects and process engineering support throughout the project lifecycle for assigned projects.
This role is based at our Marlborough, MA location

Grow with Us - Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales and customers to define bioprocess solutionsduring discovery and technical review
  • Develop process design documents(PFDs, mass balances, basic engineering deliverables)
  • Perform process engineering tasksincluding equipment sizing, technology selection, and troubleshooting
  • Support project execution end-to-end(quotation through customer acceptance)
  • Contribute to RFQ strategy, costing, and proposal development
  • Execute basic design scope(PFD, P&ID, GAD, process descriptions, component specifications)
  • Act as a technical point of contactduring project execution
  • Maintain knowledge of bioprocessing technologies and Sartorius solutions

What Will Convince Us

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
  • 7+ years of experience in process engineering or bioprocess systems
  • Strong understanding of upstream and/or downstream processing
  • Experience with engineering design documentation and lifecycle processes
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have:

  • Master's degree
  • Software skills with design tool experience - AutoCAD, Visio etc
  • Experience with ISO standards or regulated environments
  • Knowledge of statistical methods or data analysis
  • Hands-on experience with lab/testing environments

Salary range: $95,000-$120,000(based on experience)
