Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Traffic Clerk provides information on shipments to internal and external Automation Integration customers. Assists Traffic Coordinator with all shipping duties.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Providing administrative and clerical support to the Traffic Department 
  • Excellent Communication skills  
  • Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking inbound and outbound orders 
  • Contacting carriers for freight pick-ups and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately 
  • Effectively communicates any changes to routing and time-lines 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Adobe, FedEx Ship Manager, UPS Worldship, and Microsoft Teams 
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external personnel to gain the proper information to assist with customers' needs 
  • Efficiently ships and processes FedEx and UPS small package paperwork for daily pick-ups 
  • Shipping and processing LTL paperwork for daily pick ups 
  • Providing post order information to customers such as UPS/FedEx/LTL tracking 
  • Collaborating closely with the Shipping Department  
  • Effectively communicates with Wynparts, PET Team, and Customer Service to get on-site delivery dates/times, contact information, and preferred freight carriers 
  • Processing International orders by obtaining all the proper information for customs border clearance 
  • Works externally with expeditor's such as Old Dominion and AIT 
  • Effectively processes orders utilizing the correct billing information 
  • Assesses all shipping discrepancies and works to provide a solution 
  • Files claims with carriers as issues arise 
  • Assists the Traffic Coordinator with shipping truck loads 
  • Employees are responsibleto complywith all requirements ofDaifuku'sQMS policies and procedures.
  • Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction 
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements

  • Previous Traffic Clerk experience
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Adobe, Fedex Ship Manager, UPS Worldship, and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
