Why This Role Matters
The Customer Service Associate I- The UPS Store provides customers with efficient and effective service to exceed expectations while promoting products and services to meet their needs.
  • Greet customers in a friendly manner upon entering the store and determine customer needs by asking open-ended questions.
  • Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS store team members, and leadership.
  • Knowledgeable of products and services offered by The UPS Store and properly promote them to customers.
  • Receive, sort, and place mail in mailboxes accurately.
  • Record all sales transactions completely and accurately in the Point of Sale system.
  • Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products.
  • Receive and process customer packages for shipping, including lifting, weighing, and measuring packages assist in merchandising the store, including stocking shelves with products, ensuring the clean and orderly appearance of the product, informing appropriate personnel of inventory levels for re-ordering supplies.
  • Operate copiers, fax machines, measuring tapes, tape guns, and all other office machines in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. Help customers operate office machines located in the retail area.
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • Must be able to work opening and closing shifts; including weekends.

Education & Experience
  • Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred, not required.
