Job Description:
I.Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily cleaning of apartments and/or households. Creates weekly schedule, assignments and payroll. Completes annual reviews of employees and participates in discipline of staff together with Housekeeping Director.
II.Position Responsibilities:
  • Supervises housekeeping staff in assigned areas and oversees daily cleaning and projects.
  • Creates weekly schedule and assignments for all staff in assigned areas.
  • Completes annual reviews in a timely manner.
  • Works closely with building managers and coordinates all special projects and set ups as needed.
  • Initiates and leads the disciplinary process with the support of the Director of Housekeeping.
  • Interviews candidates and makes recommendations to the Director of Housekeeping regarding hiring decisions.
  • Completes bi-weekly payroll for employees assigned.
  • Regularly completes housekeeping inspections to ensure work is completed.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of department policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and efficient use of cleaning techniques, equipment and tools.
  • Maintains equipment, tools and Housekeeping areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition
  • Responds to emergencies, special needs and spills as required or directed.
  • Responsible for communicating and responding to issues and problems within the housekeeping department in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that employees are following the policies and procedures set by the company.
  • Participate in industry related meetings as necessary.

IV.Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • At least one to two years of housekeeping experience required
