*HIRING FOR MULTIPLE LOCATIONS - BROOKLYN AND MANHATTAN*

The UPS Store is a network of individually owned and operated franchised service-centers specializing in small business solutions. We are currently hiring for 8 locations throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The Center Sales Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and by operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products and services, finding the best-value options, and exhibiting confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The Center Sales Associate Position pays a starting rate of $17 per hour. Those who obtain their NOTARY LICENSE. are offered a salary of $45,000 a year. 

We are currently hiring only for full time. The average work week is 37.5 hours.
The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and maintains a professional appearance. They must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

QUALIFICATIONS            

  • Weekend availability required
  • Full time position of 37.5 hours per week
  • Willing to take exam for Notary Public, or is currently a Notary Public
  • College degree required
  • Retail/customer service experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
  • Excellent and effective salesperson
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
  • Outstanding phone etiquette
  • Prompt, reliable, and responsible
  • Able to lift 40+ pounds

  • Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
  • Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership.
  • Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions.
  • Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
  • Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Performs other duties such as operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, and laminating machines.
