The role is ideal for an experienced retail leader who can manage front-counter execution, support sales development, and partner with ownership on center-level strategy as the business grows. The Ups Store #8330 is seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to lead our team in Midlothian, TX. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring smooth daily operations at the store. As the Store Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment while meeting business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day store operations to ensure efficiency and exceptional customer service.
  • Lead, train, and motivate store staff to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Maintain inventory levels and oversee product ordering and stocking.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • Training costs are covered by ownership to help the manager earn official Center Manager Certification and be prepared to lead the team effectively.
Key Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of retail management or supervisory experience.
  • Proven ability to manage staff schedules, support sales goals, and lead day-to-day store performance.
  • Experience in using retail or shipping point-of-sale systems, such as UPS MPOS or FedEx FXPOS, along with basic computer applications.
  • Active Texas Notary Public commission, or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift or maneuver packages weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Current UPS Store Management Certification preferred; candidates must be willing to complete required paid corporate training if not already certified.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Daily operations: Oversee front-counter activity, opening and closing procedures, daily cash reconciliations, and compliance with corporate franchise standards.
  • Staff leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise part-time associates while aligning labor allocation with weekly operational budgets.
  • Inventory and compliance: Maintain appropriate stock levels for shipping, packing, and print supplies; manage accurate digital records; and enforce mailbox service compliance, including USPS Form 1583 requirements.
  • Revenue growth: Drive profitability through proactive sales of high-margin services, including commercial print production, freight logistics, specialty packing, and mailbox renewals.
  • Customer service: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient retail environment while resolving escalated customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Strategic execution: Collaborate with ownership on local center strategy and take on additional operational or administrative responsibilities as the business scales.
