Job Description:

Finance & Accounting teams at UPS help deliver what matters to both customers and shareholders. They combine knowledge of finance, accounting, operations, and data analytics to inform strategic decision-making and to evaluate company performance
Internship Experience and Benefits:
The summer internship is designed to immerse interns in the corporate culture and provides students the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience by being involved in exciting team projects that have high visibility and lasting impact at UPS. Throughout the course of the summer, interns are given significant exposure to senior leadership and all functional areas of finance. At the end of the program, interns will present their insights and recommendations to finance executives.
This role uses discipline specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist with researching data utilized to analyze projects and prepare presentations and reports based on findings. He/She participates in projects focused on reducing costs through improved processes and procedures. This position performs data queries and develops reports to streamline communications and performance reporting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Manipulates data, develops analytical models and data visualizations to drive analytic insights

  • Presents data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders

  • Interacts with cross-functional teams and assists with various projects as needed

Preferences:
  • Rising college junior or senior or recent graduate within the last 24 months pursuing a degree in Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, outlook, Power Bi)

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills

  • Describes basic technological concepts and terminology; applies standard technology in daily work

  • Database Administration, Data Modeling, Data design, Documentation

  • Sufficient and effective knowledge and experience in programming and algorithms - Preferred

  • Experience in Structured Query Language (SQL) - Preferred

  • Hybrid position; must be located or willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA
