Job description

Uprising Addiction Center is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses/Registered Nurse who desire a rewarding career making a difference in the lives of individuals. Our ideal candidate will work with and assist other professional staff in providing day-to-day direct care to individuals with drug and alcohol substance issues including assessing client's condition, administering medication, monitor detoxification and provide direct nursing care and education, in regard to health and wellness.

Our LPNs:

  • maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy and procedures, other external governing and credentialing bodies, performance improvement standards.
  • assess the client utilizing the nursing process to formulate an individualized plan of care for each client, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes consistent with policy and appropriate to the current client's condition, which promote, maintain, and restore physical and mental health, and prevent illness.
  • interpret age/disability specific information in response to client population served.
  • provide for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with the policies and procedures, physicians orders and/or current practice.
  • is responsible for thorough, accurate reporting, and documentation of the client's symptoms, responses, and progress.
  • assume responsibility for professional development, continuing education and maintaining licensure.
  • function as an advocate for client needs/safety.

Qualifications:
High school diploma
Current and unencumbered LPN license in Louisiana
Mental Health experience preferred
