Description

Our Lady of Hope School in Kansas City is seeking a bilingual, full-time, 12-month Administrative Assistant. In partnership with familie, Our Lady of Hope School supports the mission of the Church by creating a Christ-like environment where students are prepared to serve the Lord with every facet of their lives. This position will report to the Principal.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the front school office which includes operating the telephone system, managing deliveries, maintaining school records, and greeting visitors.
  • Maintain official school files, records and documents.
  • Maintain daily school financial records including lunch orders and meal charges, attendance, tuition and fee payments.
  • Coordinate family fundraising program.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • Distribute mail to school staff, students, and families.
  • Assist principal in communications to staff, students, and parents including newsletters, fliers, and brochures.
  • Serve as health room aide in the absence of school nurse, dispensing medications, providing first aid, maintaining health room log.
  • Coordinate and manage school volunteers and monitor Virtus compliance as the assistant to the Safe Environment Coordinator (SEC).
  • Provide other clerical services as needed for the operation of Our Lady of Hope School office.
  • Provide visitors with tours and school information as part of the recruitment and enrollment processes.

Requirements

ย Requirements:

  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish languages, both oral and written.
  • Courteous and professional demeanor as a representative of Our Lady of Hope School.
  • Handle records and sensitive information with confidentiality and empathy.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft and Office, Excel, Google Suite, and Canva.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility: Handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Work independently with confidence.
  • Professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 or more years of experience in a professional office setting.
  • Current First Aid and CPR training.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required if candidate meets other requirements and has relevant experience.
