Job description

SJ Truck Bodies is a local, fast growing truck fabrication company located in Monroeville, NJ.
We are looking for a Truck Upfitter/Installer Mechanic to join our team! We are looking for a highly motivated, team player who can take directions and be able to be self-reliant. These individuals should be up beat, adaptable, an comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
We offer competitive pay, room for advancement, paid holidays, paid time off, paid lunch/focus breaks, snacks/coffee bar, 40 HR work weeks (Monday - Friday 7am-3pm)
Responsibilities:

  • Installation of truck body in cab/chassis truck frames.
  • Installation of 12V lighting, Switches, and other functions.
  • Installation of Hydraulic Systems and PTO's, and Subframe Components.
  • Lengthening and Shortening of Truck frames.
  • Measuring and Frame Drilling.
  • Some welding required.
  • General Assembly.
  • Forklift Operation.
  • Keeping up Inventory of Install Supplies.
  • Employee must regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, lift, climb or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Qualifications:

  • 3-5 Years Relevant Experience
  • Knowledge of shop equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to make sense of drawing and work orders
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs
  • Knowledge of basic math, tape measuring reading, fractions & decimals
  • Power Tool Experience
  • Take Instructions and follow through
  • Team player
