Job description

Position: Warehouse/Driver

Reports to: Branch Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable Warehouse/Driver to join our team at our location in Hutto, TX. The Warehouse/Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to and from our warehouse, as well as assisting with general warehouse duties. Operates commercial vehicle to transport and deliver heating and air conditioning products parts, and other materials to customers or Insco locations. Will also be responsible for performing warehouse and counter sales duties at the branch.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsibly transports and loads/unloads items to a customer s job site, place of business, or other assigned destination.
  • Build strong relationships with the customers to ensure that we continue to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Inspect truck pre and post trip to ensure everything, including emergency, mechanical and safety gear, is in working order.
  • Performs required minor maintenance and keeps the vehicle clean.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary documentation such as proof of delivery/pick up, driver logs, truck condition forms, maintenance logs, etc.
  • Collects/picks up empty containers or rejected/unsold merchandise.
  • Assist with branch operations such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock, cycle counts/inventory, etc.
  • Supports the branch with counter sales support.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Valid driver s license with a satisfactory MVR
  • Pass and maintain organizational forklift certification.
  • At least one years experience or driver certificate from driver training school
  • Regularly required to sit. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend frequently, twist, reach, stretch, kneel, squat, push, pull, and lift items that may weigh up to 75 pounds. The role also regularly to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc. The employee is regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, MVR, TXDOT hazmat test with endorsements, and background check.
