Job description

PrimusLabs, a global leader in food safety for the fresh produce industry is in search of a Pick-Up Driver to support our team in Santa Maria, CA. For more than 30 years, PrimusLabs has been a trailblazer in all aspects of produce food safety, offering the most extensive range of microbiological and pesticide testing services available to agricultural and other food industries, domestically and abroad. We offer dynamic solutions from laboratory testing, field sampling and supply chain management throughout the produce world.

This position is primarily a driving role responsible for the timely pick-up and transportation of samples from client locations to our laboratory in Salinas. The driver will operate a company-provided vehicle and represent PrimusLabs professionally while interacting with clients during pick-ups.

We are looking for entry-level candidates who are reliable, organized, and interested in learning more about the food safety industry. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and good written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

In addition to driving responsibilities, this position will assist with pallet sampling at customer locations and perform light facility maintenance and general upkeep tasks around the office and lab property as needed. This may include basic cleaning, organizing, and other support duties to help maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Training will be provided. Clean DMV record required (DMV record must be submitted before assignment starts). Company vehicle with company insurance provided (due to insurance requirements must be at least 21 years of age).

Need to have flexibility to rotate through shifts, weekend and holiday coverage as needed. (Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

$20 per hour.

-Fulfill duties assigned by management
