Description
Summary: The Student Assistant will provide administrative support to the department. In addition to performing miscellaneous clerical duties, the Student Assistant will also be required to answer phones and greet visitors to the office, taking detailed messages for staff follow-up as necessary. S/he will also be required to assist with various department projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current Pace University student in good academic and conduct standing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, dependable, and comfortable working directly with students.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and understand the difference between providing general peer assistance and advising that should be handled by professional staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn about Dyson Advising, university resources, and student support services.
  • Commitment to completing the required Peer Advisor Credential.
  • Previous customer service, office, leadership, peer mentoring, or student organization experience is helpful but not required.
