Qualifications & Requirements
  • Active RN license (Ohio or compact state) — Registered Nurse required
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, or similar acute care setting
  • BLS certification (required)
  • Ability to complete all onboarding requirements, including health screenings and background checks
  • Strong clinical assessment, cardiac telemetry interpretation, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to Cardiac Stepdown/telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
  • Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and recognize arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, physicians, respiratory therapy) to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment for patients and staff
