Description
The University of Notre Dame, Department of Finance, is looking for applicants to fill a University Chair position in the Finance Department. This position is open to highly accomplished senior scholars with research and teaching interests in any area of finance. Rank is at the tenured full professor level with a further distinction of a university chair professorship. Position duties include publishing in leading finance journals, teaching well at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contributing to the intellectual life of the college. We offer competitive salary and benefits and generous research support.
The University of Notre Dame, located in South Bend, Indiana, is consistently ranked among the top 25 undergraduate institutions in the U.S. The university has approximately 13,000 students, with undergraduates accounting for 70% of the student body. As part of the University's Mendoza College of Business, the finance department contributes to a top-ranked undergraduate business program and several highly regarded graduate programs, including MBA, executive MBA, and Masters of Science in Finance programs. Finance faculty and students also benefit from close collaboration with the Notre Dame Institute for Global Investing (NDIGI) and the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate (FIRE). Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a renowned scholar with a demonstrated record of excellence in research, teaching, and service. Candidates must also have a Ph.D. in Finance or closely related field.
