Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Must-Have: Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement
Description:
8 weeks of 10-hour shifts from 08:00 to 18:30.
Days off will vary based on department needs.
There is no guarantee of the same day off every week or of Mondays and Fridays off.
On-call requirements include weeknights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 4-6 shifts a month.
Floating is required to PreAn/PACU if needed.
Patient diagnoses include procedural-based cases such as pancreatic, lung, colon, gastric cancer, polyps, Barrett's esophagus, CBD stones, strictures, and cancer.
Special procedures include EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Manometry, and Fibroscan.
RNs must possess mandatory competency in phlebotomy and placing IVs, as these are required skills for the role.
Special equipment used includes ERBE, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE, and Manometry.
ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
Travelers with local credentials must be more than 75 miles from the facility.
Unit accepts first-time travelers.
Scrubs should be navy and white.
The unit will staff with a ratio of 3 patients during the day.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
Healthcare professionals will be working with adult and geriatric patient age groups.
The unit typically has 30 beds.
Healthcare professionals must demonstrate skills in administering conscious sedation, airway management, and various endoscopic procedures.
