Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Description:
This position requires a skilled registered nurse to work in the operating room.
The role involves assisting with a variety of surgical procedures including gastric bypass, laparoscopic surgeries, and numerous orthopedic procedures.
The nurse will be required to handle tasks including but not limited to abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, appendectomy, and total joint replacements.
Mandatory competencies include administration of blood and blood products, infection control, and code response.
The operating room is diverse and requires the ability to adapt to a variety of procedures and patient needs.
It is essential to maintain high standards of care and safety by following universal protocol and time-out procedures.
The nurse will work closely with interdisciplinary support teams and must be able to float as necessary.
Strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, communication, and dedication to patient care.
Candidates must also demonstrate experience with various surgical equipment and procedures.
