Unity provides developers with tools to build both 2D and 3D games for a wide range of platforms, including PC, consoles, mobile devices, and VR/AR systems. Developers use C# as the primary programming language in Unity, and the engine offers features such as a visual editor, asset management, physics, and rendering.
