Job Responsibilities:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Thecontrolsengineer works in a manufacturing plant environment and will be exposed to some elements such as temperature and noise.Must be flexible in hours of worktomeet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.).Abilityto travel internationally(if required)and to work overtime may berequiredto meet customer expectations.

Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk and listen. The employee mustfrequentlygeneral good health to meet fast paced environment, and sometimes high stress situations. Must be able to function ina very fastpacemoving environment. The employeeis occasionally required toclimb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distancevisionand ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in an office setting and plant floor. The noise level in the office environment isusually lowto moderate. The employee is occasionally exposed to low levels of vibration. The employee maybe requiredto be on the production floor where they would be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the production environment is usually moderate to loud.

EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED:

  • Equipment:Laptop PC, telephone, photocopier, etc.

  • Software:Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), PLC Software

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Familiar withSiemens TIA Portal, BeckhoffTwinCat3, SiemensSimotion, Siemens WinCC

  • IEC61131

  • SCADA Development systems

  • Knowledge of efficiency tracking, root cause analysis, and KPIs

  • Knowledge of electrical code (NEC and NFPA)

  • Competent with AutoCAD Electrical

  • Preferred - Licensed Industrial Electrician withapprenticeship.

EDUCATION:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 7years' experiencein automotive and manufacturing environment

  • Experience applying machine safety requirements (ISO 12100 & 13849)

AREAS OF TRAINING REQUIRED:

New Hire training, Employee Charter training, Safety Training
