The primary responsibility of a United Off Premise Sales Representative is selling United products to customers in order to maintain and grow United’s market share. An Off Premise Sales Representative is knowledgeable about United’s portfolio and educates the customer while selling United products. The Off Premise Sales Representative manages marketing within accounts, holds tastings of products with customers in order to sell new items, and uses United systems to bill orders, look at sales numbers, and track progress towards goals. This position is perfect for a self-motivated, competitive individual who thrives in situations requiring a high level of collaboration, organization, interpersonal skills, and creativity.

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • High school or vocational school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of sales experience preferred
  • Restaurant/Bar/Industry experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license for applicable state
  • Valid auto liability insurance for applicable state
  • Ability to secure and maintain a State Alcohol Sales Permit in accordance with state laws

Responsibilities

  • Sell United products to maintain and increase United’s market share
  • Sell new items and programs, and increase product knowledge with customers
  • Use United systems daily to bill orders and run sales reports
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of United product portfolio
  • Build positive relationships with suppliers, customers, United sales teams, and United delivery associates
  • Use United systems to track progress towards program/incentive goals
  • Complete supplier ride along when necessary
  • Host product tastings to place new items in accounts
  • Build sales presentations, pricing sheets, and tasting notes for accounts to complement the sale of new items
  • Manage marketing within accounts including point of sale materials and brand development promotions when applicable
  • Complete quality audits for all accounts
  • Work with United graphics department to design and print menus/features.
  • Assist in set up for events and festivals
  • Assist customers in building and updating menus
  • Conduct staff trainings on new products.
  • Host beer, wine, and spirits dinners in accounts
  • Run vacation routes for teammate when required
  • Drive to all call points
  • Perform other duties as assigned
